Deborah Noyes

Deb Noyes is an author, editor, and photographer who writes for both adults and children. Her diverse body of work spans adult historical fiction, young adult novels and nonfiction, and children's literature. Though she was born in California, she has spent most of her adult life in Massachusetts, where she balances her writing career with other creative pursuits.

Noyes has held a variety of unconventional jobs to support her writing, including working as a bartender, book reviewer, children's book editor, and even a zookeeper - an experience that led to her being bitten by a dwarf lemur, a unique distinction among her peers. Her multifaceted career reflects her adaptability and curiosity, qualities that also inform her writing across genres. Whether crafting historical narratives for adults or engaging works for younger readers, Noyes brings a distinctive perspective to her projects.
