Diana Dempsey

Diana Dempsey is a successful American author, well-known for her mystery, romance, and women's fiction novels. She is the writer of the Beauty Queen Mysteries series, which features a protagonist who is a former beauty pageant contestant. However, Dempsey herself has never competed in beauty pageants. Instead, she worked in TV news for over a decade, winning an Emmy during her career in the industry.

Dempsey was born in Buffalo, New York, where she was raised and attended school. After completing her education, she went on to attend Harvard University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree. Before becoming an author, Dempsey spent several years working in TV news, where she covered war zones and worked early morning shifts. She eventually left the industry to pursue a career in writing.

Dempsey's novels have been praised by critics and readers alike for their engaging plots and realistic details. Her first novel, Falling Star, was nominated for a RITA award for Best First Book by the Romance Writers of America. In addition to her contemporary novels, Dempsey has also written historical fiction. Her first historical novel, The Unstoppable Eliza Haycraft, was released to critical acclaim. Dempsey currently resides in San Francisco, California with her husband.
