Diane Jeffrey is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author who was born in 1973 and grew up in the UK, specifically in North Devon and Northern Ireland. She spent much of her childhood in the water, either in the Atlantic Ocean or the swimming pool, as she was a competitive swimmer and also involved in surf life saving. In fact, she was the first female lifeguard to work on the beaches in the UK.
Jeffrey now lives in Lyon, France, with her husband and their three children, along with a Labrador and a cat. She has written six psychological thrillers, all published by HQ/HarperCollins. Her third book, THE GUILTY MOTHER, was a USA Today bestseller, and her fourth novel, THE SILENT FRIEND, was a Karin Slaughter Killer Reads pick for ASDA. Her fifth psychological thriller, THE COUPLE AT CAUSEWAY COTTAGE, won the 2023 International Thriller Writers award for the best ebook original novel.
Jeffrey is also an English teacher and, when not working or writing, enjoys swimming, running, and reading. She has a love for chocolate, beer, and holidays, and above all, she cherishes spending time with her family and friends. Her latest psychological thriller, THE OTHER COUPLE, was released in June 2023 in ebook and audiobook and in August 2023 in paperback.
