Diane Merrill Wigginton

Diane Merrill Wigginton is an award-winning author known for her historical romance, suspense, and children’s fiction. Born in Riverside, California, in 1963, she debuted with "Angelina's Secret," the first installment in her critically praised Jeweled Dagger Series. Her diverse bibliography includes five novels, among them the children’s adventure "The Secret of One-Eyed Cogburn, The Dreaded Pirate Captain." Wigginton’s works have earned prestigious honors such as the Benjamin Franklin Digital Award and Reader's Favorite First Place Historical Fiction Award, along with multiple accolades for "A Compromising Position."

Wigginton’s storytelling is deeply influenced by her upbringing in San Diego and summers spent on her grandparents’ Idaho ranch, where she developed a love for nature, animals, and adventure. After raising six children and working full-time, she pursued writing in her 50s, channeling her life experiences into richly woven narratives. Her retirement in 2017 allowed her to relocate to Montana, where she now writes full-time amidst the inspiring landscapes near Glacier National Park.
