Dylan Young is a thriller and crime fiction author from South Wales. Born in a mining village in the Swansea valley, he spent his early life in this community before moving to London for his medical education. As a child, Young was a dreamer who was always lost in books and did well in school. He excelled in sports, particularly cricket and rugby.\n \n After medical school, Dylan Young settled down to a career in the NHS, but his urge to write never went away. In the 1990s, he published four novels under the name Dylan Jones, two of which were filmed by the BBC. In 2011, Random House re-released two of the books in the Natalie Vine series as ebooks. Young now writes children's fiction as Rhys A Jones and contemporary urban fantasy as DC farmer. However, his love for crime fiction never waned.
Dylan Young's new series featuring Detective Inspector Anna Gwynne was released in January 2018, with two more books following. He also has three standalone psychological thrillers available, published by Bloodhound Books. These books have a trademark medical flavor, reflecting his medical background. Young currently lives in West Wales with his wife, where the landscape and weather provide ample inspiration for his books.
