Faith Martin

Faith Martin is a successful and prolific English author who writes under the pen name Faith Martin. She is best known for her series of Hillary Greene detective novels, which have captivated readers for over 30 years. Born in Oxford, Martin sets most of her crime thrillers in the vicinity, making use of her familiarity with the area to create vivid and authentic settings for her stories. She is known to incorporate descriptions of local flora and fauna into her writing, reflecting her love for nature and the countryside.

Under the pseudonym Faith Martin, she writes crime thrillers, but she has also used other pen names such as Jacquie Walton, Maxine Barry, Joyce Cato, and Jessie Daniels. As Joyce Cato, she writes classic-style whodunits, while as Maxine Barry, she writes romance novels. Under the name Jessie Daniels, she published a 'spooky' crime novel, The Lavender Lady Casefile, in November 2017. Martin is currently busy writing a new series for HQ, set in the 1920s, featuring locked-room mysteries written in a light-hearted style.
