Fiona McPhillips is an award-winning Irish journalist, author, and screenwriter whose debut novel, "When We Were Silent," was the runner-up for the 2021 Crime Writers’ Association Debut Dagger. The novel will be published in May 2024 by Transworld in the UK and Flatiron in the US. Her writing has appeared in prestigious publications such as The Manchester Review, Hobart, and Barren Magazine, and she serves as an editor at The Forge literary magazine.
McPhillips is also the author of two nonfiction books: "Make the Home You Love" and "Trying To Conceive," published by O'Brien Press and Liberties Press respectively. Her work spans multiple genres, including crime fiction, nonfiction, and screenwriting. A Dublin resident, she balances her writing career with raising her three children alongside two cats and a dog.
