1945 saw the birth of Gerald M Ford, a distinguished American novelist celebrated for his gripping crime series books. Raised by his single mother who worked as a secretary, following the death of his father, Ford went on to study at Nathaniel Hawthorne College and later earned his master’s degree in literature from Adelphi University, NY. Prior to becoming a full-time writer, Ford taught creative writing. His first published book, “Who in Hell is Wanda Fuca?” was released in 1995. Among his notable works are two series novels, Leo Waterman, and Frank Corso series.
The author’s first book, “Who in Hell is Wanda Fuca?” was nominated for ‘Best First Novel’ in the Anthony Award, Shamus Award, and the Dilys Award in 1996. Ford has since received numerous awards for his published books. He is best known for his Seattle private investigator, Leo Waterman, who is featured in a series of six books. In 2001, Ford started a new series featuring disgraced reporter Frank Corso and his Goth assistant Meg Dougherty. In addition to these series, he has also written a stand-alone thriller, “Nameless Night.” Currently, Ford is working on his next novel and resides in San Diego.
Gerald M Ford began his writing career with the Leo Waterman series, which was nominated for several awards, including the Shamus, the Anthony, the Lefty, and a couple of other awards. After a twelve-year hiatus, he wrote a new Leo Waterman novel, “Thicker Than Water,” which was published by Thomas & Mercer (Amazon), and he is presently working on Leo Waterman #10. The author resides in Seattle, where he sets many of his novels.
