Gail Fraser is a successful American author, best known for her fiction work. She is the author of the popular Lumby series, which includes "The Lumby Lines," "Stealing Lumby," "Lumby’s Bounty," "The Promise of Lumby," "Lumby on the Air," and "Lost in Lumby," with the seventh book, "Between Lumby and God," due for release in late 2023 or early 2024. In addition to her fiction work, Fraser has also co-authored a non-fiction illustrated book, "Finding Happiness in Simplicity," with her husband, folk artist Art Poulin.

Before becoming a novelist in 2004, Fraser had a long and successful career in corporate America, holding senior executive and upper management positions in several Fortune 500 and start-up corporations. She traveled extensively during her career, living throughout the United States and visiting 22 countries, including extended stays in Australia, Japan, Brazil, and several countries in Europe. Fraser was born and raised in Rye, New York, and attended Rye High School. She went on to major in English and received an AA from Colby Sawyer College, before studying at the University of London and then earning her BA in English Education at Skidmore College. Fraser and her late husband, Art Poulin, built their own "Lumby" at Lazy Goose Farm in rural upstate New York. The 40-acre gentleman's farm is demarcated by a 200-year old stone wall and offers views of the Catskills, Adirondack, and Vermont mountains. Lazy Goose Farm has been featured in several magazines, newspapers, and on PBS. In addition to her writing, Fraser is an avid heirloom tomato gardener, long-distance swimmer, and flute player. She tends to their orchard and beehives every morning and has completed writing the seventh book in the Lumby series.
