Garon Whited is an American author, best known for his Nightlord series of books. He was born in either 1969 or 1970, but the location and date of his birth are uncertain due to the unavailability of his original birth certificate. Whited spent his childhood moving around with his parents before settling back in Texarkana. He attended several colleges, including Texas A&M College, the University of Fayetteville, and Texarkana College, where he studied a variety of subjects that did not directly contribute to his future career as an author.
Before becoming a writer, Whited worked a series of diverse jobs, including cremationist, delivery driver, crime scene cleanup specialist, burger flipper, amateur ax thrower, pharmacist technician, and strip club DJ. He has said that his experiences battling blood-sucking pineapples, organic golems, were-chihuahuas, and vegetarian vampires have made him well-suited to write fantastic fiction. Whited's first novel, "Sunset," was published in 2006 and marked the beginning of the Nightlord series. He is known for his optimistic science fiction novels set in post-apocalyptic worlds, which often end with feel-good twists.
Whited describes himself as a "Perfectly Normal Person with an overactive imagination," which leads him to have conversations with people who may or may not be real. He associates with others who have similarly active imaginations, and this has inspired him to write extensively. While he claims to live on this planet, some observers have expressed doubts about his exact whereabouts. Whited currently resides in Texarkana.
