Gary Gibson

Gary Gibson is a British science fiction author known for his hardcore SF adventure novels and intricate space operas. His debut novel, "Angel Stations," published in 2004, was praised by "Interzone" for its dense, Golden Age-inspired storytelling. He gained further acclaim with "Against Gravity" (2005), described by "The Guardian" as a convincing near-future vision. Gibson's breakout work, "Stealing Light" (2007), launched a four-book space opera series concluding with "Marauder" (2013). To date, he has written ten novels, including the duology "Extinction Game" and "Survival Game."

Recognized by "The Guardian" as "a master of core SF" and celebrated for his gripping, thought-provoking narratives, Gibson's work has been translated into multiple languages and published worldwide. His stories often explore themes of technological advancement, survival, and dystopian futures, delivered with a blend of action and intellectual depth. A longtime resident of Glasgow, Scotland, he now divides his time between Taipei and editing projects while continuing to write. His latest release, "Butterfly Box and Other Stories" (2024), is a collection of short fiction showcasing his range across the genre.
