Gary McCarthy

Gary McCarthy is an accomplished American author who specializes in writing historical novels and westerns. With millions of books in print, he continues to write and contribute to the literary world. McCarthy has a particular interest in the American West, and he enjoys researching and discovering new stories to share with his readers.

Gary McCarthy has written a total of forty-eight novels, with fourteen of them being American historical novels and thirty-four being westerns. His works have been published by many of New York's major publishing houses, and he has over three million books in print. McCarthy's personal experiences and knowledge make him well-suited to write about the American West. He grew up around horses and has lived in California, Nevada, and Arizona. In addition to his personal experiences, McCarthy has also received formal education in Animal Science and Agricultural Economics.

McCarthy has a keen interest in Native American cultures, particularly those that reside in Northern Arizona, such as the Hopi, Navajo, Havasupai, and Haulapai. He shares his home state of Arizona with his wife, Jane, and they enjoy spending time together riding horses and hiking in the Kaibab and Coconino National Forests. McCarthy's love for the American West is evident in his writing, and he is always on the lookout for new stories to tell. He considers the research aspect of his work to be one of his favorite pursuits.
