Gary Shteyngart

Gary Shteyngart is a critically acclaimed author, born in Leningrad, USSR on July 5, 1972. He is known for his satirical works that often feature elaborately fictitious places and times. Shteyngart immigrated to the United States at the age of seven, and his writing reflects his unique background and experiences.

Shteyngart's debut novel, "The Russian Debutante's Handbook," was published in 2002 and received the Stephen Crane Award for First Fiction and the National Jewish Book Award for Fiction.
