Gav Thorpe

Gav Thorpe is a bestselling English author based in Nottingham, England. He has an impressive background in developing and designing products for Games Workshop, having been involved with the company since 1994. During his time at Games Workshop, Thorpe created rules for various board and miniature games, wrote novels, short stories, and contributed to the development of video and tabletop games.

Thorpe's writing career took off in earnest when the Black Library imprint was launched in 1997. He began writing novels and short stories set in the worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000, and has continued to write for Black Library since then. In addition to his work for the Black Library, Thorpe has also released his own novel series, The Crown of the Blood, through Angry Robot.

Currently, Thorpe resides in Nottingham with his loving partner, Kez, and their young son, Sammy. Despite the demands of his writing career, Thorpe is dedicated to his family and strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance. His experiences as a father and partner have undoubtedly influenced his writing, adding depth and nuance to his characters and storytelling.
