Gavin Ortlund

Gavin Ortlund is a theologian, pastor, and author specializing in historical theology, Protestant thought, and Christian apologetics. He holds a PhD from Fuller Theological Seminary and has written several books, including "Finding the Right Hills to Die On," "Theological Retrieval for Evangelicals," and "Anselm's Pursuit of Joy." His more recent works, such as "Why God Makes Sense in a World That Doesn't" and "What It Means to Be Protestant," explore the intellectual coherence of Christian faith and the distinctives of Reformation theology.

Ortlund's academic and pastoral career reflects his commitment to bridging theological scholarship with practical ministry. He has served as a research fellow for the Creation Project at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and is currently President of Truth Unites, Visiting Professor of Historical Theology at Phoenix Seminary, and Theologian-in-Residence at Immanuel Church.
