Genevieve Cogman

Genevieve Cogman is a highly respected author from the United Kingdom, best known for her work in the fantasy genre and her contributions to role-playing games. She has written for various game companies and has worked as a freelance role-playing game writer. Cogman currently holds a position as a clinical classifications specialist for the NHS in England.

Cogman's love for fantasy fiction began at an early age with her introduction to the works of Tolkien and Sherlock Holmes. She has since gone on to earn a MSc in Statistics with Medical Applications, which she has put to use in a variety of professional roles such as a clinical coder, data analyst, and classifications specialist. However, her passion for writing has always remained a constant in her life. In addition to her work in role-playing games, Cogman is also the author of the Invisible Library series, which includes The Burning Page, The Masked City, and The Invisible Library.

The Invisible Library series is a popular and critically acclaimed set of novels that follows the adventures of a team of secretive librarians who travel across alternate realities to acquire rare fiction works for a mysterious library existing outside of time and space. The series is known for its incorporation of fantasy elements such as supernatural beings, magic, and steampunk. The Tor Books has acquired the rights to publish the next couple of books in the series, was released in 2017. Cogman is represented by the Knight Agency.

In her personal life, Cogman has a wide range of hobbies including beading, patchwork, knitting, and gaming. She currently resides in the northern region of England.
