Born in Riverside, California in 1963, Gerald Morris grew up in Singapore, where his parents served as Baptist missionaries. He has fond memories of his childhood in Singapore, which he remembers as a safe and nurturing environment. His religious upbringing has also played a significant role in his life, influencing his work as a minister and a theology teacher.
When he is not writing, Gerald Morris works as a teacher and a minister. He is married to Rebecca Hughes and is the father of three children. After living in Oklahoma for a short period, the family settled in Wausau, Wisconsin, where Gerald currently serves as associate pastor at the First United Methodist Church. In his spare time, he enjoys writing children's and young adult novels, mostly about King Arthur, and occasionally scrapes land.
