After working with a literary agency for a year, she transitioned to independent publishing, prioritizing creative control and transparency in her career.
Raised in rural Oregon, Gianaclis developed a deep connection with nature, a theme that subtly influences her work. Her eclectic background includes careers as a nurse, farrier, printmaker, architect, cheesemaker, and goat farmer, alongside her roles as a foster, adoptive, and birth mother.
