Gillian Roberts

Gelian Roberts is the pen name of Judith Greber, an American bestselling author of mystery novels. She is well-known for her Emma Howe & Billie August series and Amanda Pepper series, both of which have garnered critical acclaim and a loyal fanbase.

Roberts was born and raised in Philadelphia, a city that features prominently in many of her novels. After completing her education, she worked as a high school English teacher, a profession that she shares with her beloved character, Amanda Pepper. Her first-hand experience in the education sector has lent authenticity and depth to her writing, making her novels all the more engaging and relatable.

In 1982, Roberts made her debut as a published author with the novel Easy Answers, which was released under her real name. However, it wasn't until 1987 that she began writing under her pseudonym Gillian Roberts, with the publication of Caught Dead in Philadelphia, the inaugural book in the Amanda Pepper series. Since then, she has published numerous novels, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the mystery genre.

Currently, Roberts resides in Marin County, California, where she leads a happy and fulfilling life with her husband and two adult sons. Despite her success as an author, she remains grounded and committed to her craft, continually pushing herself to create compelling and thought-provoking novels that captivate and enthrall her readers.
