Ginger Pinholster

Ginger Pinholster is an award-winning novelist and Pushcart Prize-nominated writer whose work explores themes of nature, resilience, and human connection. Her debut novel, "City in a Forest," earned a gold award in the Florida Writers Association's 2020 Royal Palm Literary Awards competition. She followed this success with her second novel, "Snakes of St. Augustine," published by Regal House in September 2023. Her third novel, "The Train to Santa Fe," is forthcoming from Regal House in 2026, with a fourth novel currently in progress.

Pinholster holds an M.F.A. from Queens University of Charlotte and a B.A. in English from Eckerd College. Her short stories and essays have appeared in numerous literary journals, including Pangyrus, Atticus Review, and The Northern Virginia Review. In 2024, her short story "Jumping Off" won First Place in Fiction from Prime Number Magazine, which also nominated her for a Pushcart Prize. Another story, "What Snakes Do," was selected for inclusion in Pangyrus's annual print anthology.

Beyond writing, Pinholster is deeply involved in environmental conservation as a sea turtle activist and volunteer with Florida's Volusia Turtle Patrol. Her background includes journalism and science writing for nonprofit organizations, reflecting her commitment to storytelling that bridges art and advocacy.
