Glen Duncan is a highly acclaimed author from Britain, known for his works in the horror, mystery, fiction, thriller, and fantasy genres. He was born in Bolton, Lancashire in 1965 to an Anglo-Eastern family. After completing his education in philosophy from Lancaster University and literature from Exeter University, Duncan moved to London in 1990 where he worked as a bookseller for four years. During his spare time, he began writing, which eventually led to the publication of his first book, 'Hope' in 1997.
Duncan's family has roots in India, a fact that influenced his writing, particularly in his novel 'The Bloodstone Papers'. In 1994, he traveled to India with his father, visiting various places and gaining experiences that would later inspire his writing. He then continued on to the United States, traveling by Amtrak train and writing much of what would become his first novel, 'Hope'. The book was published in 1997 to critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.
Glen Duncan is best known for his successful novel series, 'The Last Werewolf', as well as standalone novels such as 'I, Lucifer'. His other notable works include 'Hope', 'Love Remains', 'Weathercock', 'Death of an Ordinary Man', and 'The Bloodstone Papers'. In addition to writing under his own name, Duncan also writes the mystery series 'The Valerie Hart' under the pen name of Saul Black. His 2002 novel 'I, Lucifer' has had its film rights purchased, with popular actors such as Ewan McGregor, Jason Brescia, Jude Law, Vin Diesel, and Daniel Craig being considered for roles in the forthcoming movie. Duncan currently resides in London.
