Glynn Stewart is a successful Canadian author, well-known for his work in the science fiction and fantasy genres. Raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Stewart's parents maintained a library filled with science fiction literature, sparking his interest in the genre at a young age. By the time he reached adulthood, Stewart had exhausted his favorite traditionally published authors, such as Ian Douglas and David Weber, and turned to self-published works to fulfill his reading appetite. This shift towards self-published literature inspired him to try his hand at writing, rekindling a passion that had been present since his elementary school days.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Stewart pursued a career in accounting, eventually becoming a financial analyst. During his free time, he would write up to 2,000 words a day, honing his craft and keeping his love for storytelling alive. In 2014, Stewart published "Omnibus," the first book in his bestselling "Starship's Mage" series, which garnered significant success. Following the positive reception of "Space Carrier Avalon," which nearly doubled the success of his previous work, Stewart made the decision to leave accounting behind and commit to writing full-time.
Stewart has since authored over 60 books, including the "Starship's Mage" series, science fiction series "Duchy of Terra," "Castle Federation," and "Vigilante," as well as urban fantasy series "ONSET" and "Changeling Blood." His work is characterized by faster-than-light travel made possible through magic, a unique blend of technology and fantasy. Living in Southern Ontario with his partner, their cats, and an unyielding writing habit, Stewart has successfully transitioned from a bleak future in accounting to a fulfilling career as a celebrated author.
