Gordon Aalborg

Gordon Aalborg is a Canadian-born author and journalist best known for his prolific romance writing under the pseudonym Victoria Gordon. With over twenty Harlequin/Mills & Boon contemporary romance novels published internationally, he is widely regarded as the first male author to achieve significant success in the genre. His works, including popular titles written as Victoria Gordon, have captivated readers worldwide with their engaging storytelling and vivid Australian settings.

Before establishing himself as a novelist, Aalborg built a diverse career as a reporter, columnist, and bureau chief for "The Edmonton Journal" in Alberta. Later, he relocated to Australia, where he worked as a freelance journalist and broadcaster. His novels often reflect his personal interests, such as dog training, outdoor activities, and the Australian landscapes he explored firsthand. A dedicated gundog enthusiast, he served as the founding president and life member of the Tasmanian Gundog Trial Association.

In 2000, Aalborg returned to Canada and married mystery and romance author Denise Dietz, collaborating with her on the book "Finding Bess". Embracing mystery writing alongside his romance work, he humorously noted it was necessary "as a means of maintaining equality in the household." Now residing on Vancouver Island with his wife and their chocolate Labrador, Magic, Aalborg continues to draw from his rich life experiences to craft compelling stories across genres.
