Graham Brack is a prolific author, best known for his "Josef Slonsky Investigation" series. Born in Sunderland, UK, Brack has claimed that he has been writing for as long as he can remember. However, his professional writing career came later in life, following his graduation from Robert Gordon in Aberdeen with a bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Brack went on to study at the University of Glasgow, where he earned a master of philosophy degree in Medical Law and Ethics. While he has never had any of his characters poisoned in his crime fiction novels, Brack's background in medical law has certainly informed his writing.
Brack's writing career took off while he was working as a managing director for several companies. However, it was not until he got a job as Head of Communications and Integration at Pharmacy Management that he began to focus more seriously on his writing. In this role, Brack is responsible for all market intelligence, journals, reports, website, cross-fertilizing streams and integration for the company. Despite his busy work schedule, Brack has managed to publish ten crime fiction novels to date, with more on the way.
Brack's crime fiction novels have been well-received by critics and readers alike. His "Josef Slonsky Investigation" series, which is set in Prague, has been particularly successful. The first book in the series, Lying and Dying, was published by Sapere Books and was followed by six more books about the Prague policeman. Brack has also written a series of historical mysteries featuring Master Mercurius, a seventeenth century university lecturer. The first Mercurius mystery, Death in Delft, was published in 2014, followed by Untrue till Death in 2020, Dishonour and Obey in October 2020, The Noose's Shadow in December 2020, The Vanishing Children in 2021, The Lying Dutchman in 2022 and Murder in Maastricht in 2023.
In addition to his crime fiction novels, Brack has also written about football, rugby, and medical law. He is married to Gillian and has two adult children and three granddaughters. Brack currently resides in a small village in Northamptonshire. Despite his busy schedule, Brack continues to write and publish new crime fiction novels, delighting readers with his intricate plots and complex characters.
