Gray Basnight

Gray Basnight is a talented author who was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. From a young age, Basnight was passionate about two activities: participating in theater productions and reading. This love for theater and literature stayed with him as he grew older, ultimately shaping his career and career choices.

After studying English and theatre in college, Basnight moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. However, he soon found that the actor's struggle was a difficult one, and he turned to local radio as a way to make a living. For almost three decades, Basnight worked in New York City as a broadcast news writer, editor, producer, and reporter. Throughout this time, he continued to write fiction, honing his craft and developing his unique voice.

When Basnight was laid off as a radio reporter during the height of the financial crisis in 2008, he saw it as an opportunity to pursue a second (or third) life. Since then, he has published a number of other works, including the Civil War historical novel "Shadows in the Fire" (2015), the political thriller "Flight of the Fox" (2018), and the roller-coaster thriller "Madness of the Q" (2020).

In addition to his work as a fiction author, Basnight is also a dedicated husband and father. He lives in New York with his wife Lisa and their golden retriever Tinta.
