Gwendolyn Faith Hunter, also known by her pen name Faith Hunter, is a successful American author who specializes in mystery and thriller novels. She has also made a name for herself in the fantasy genre, writing under the name Faith Hunter. In addition to her solo work, Hunter has collaborated with Gary Leeville in the thriller genre, publishing under the name Gary Hunter. Hunter's writing is not limited to books, as she has also ventured into the realm of gaming. She developed a role-playing game inspired by her Rogue Mage series.

Hunter was raised in the distinctive surroundings of Louisiana Bayou County, where her love for writing began during her high school years. She pursued higher education and earned a degree in Allied Health Technology. Prior to her writing career, Hunter had a full-time job in a rural hospital.
