Hambleton Terrell Griffin, also known as Terry, was an American author born in 1942, best known for his mystery/thriller novels. Griffin led a varied life, including time served in the military, academic pursuits, legal practice, and writing. After graduating from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, where he received his law degree and graduated in the top 10% of his class, he returned to Central Florida to practice law for 38 years before retiring and dedicating himself to writing full-time.
Griffin is a lifelong member of the 14th Cavalry Association and holds a U.S. Coast Guard 100 Ton Master's License. He is the author of the Matt Royal Mystery series and has written numerous novels, including "Blood Island," "Murder Key," and "Longboat Blues." Griffin's writing has earned him recognition, with "Blood Island" being named an award-winning finalist in the 2008 National Best Books Awards, Fiction & Literature: Mystery/Suspense category. Griffin and his wife, Jean, share their time between Maitland, Florida, and Longboat Key, Florida.
