Hank Phillippi Ryan is a highly acclaimed American author of mystery, thriller, and romantic suspense novels. She was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, and attended the Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio. Ryan also studied in Germany at the International School in Hamburg. Before becoming a successful author, she worked as a broadcasting reporter for WIBC radio in 1971 and later became a legislative assistant in Washington DC for the Administrative Practice and Procedure Subcommittee within the Senate Judiciary Committee. She began her writing career as an editorial assistant at the Rolling Stone Magazine.
Ryan has written fifteen award-winning novels of suspense, including the Charlotte McNally series and the Jane Ryland series. She is known for her exceptional storytelling abilities and has been hailed as a "master at crafting suspenseful mysteries" by national reviews.
