Harry Sidebottom is a distinguished British historian and author, best known for his series of historical novels including "Throne of the Caesars" and "Warrior of Rome." Born in Cambridge, England and raised in Newmarket, Sidebottom was exposed to the world of racehorses through his father's profession as a trainer. His early education took place at Fairstead House School and The King's School, Ely, before he went on to pursue his undergraduate degree in Ancient History from Lancaster University. Sidebottom later obtained his master's degree from the University of Manchester in 1982 and completed his doctorate at Corpus Christi College.
