Heath Gunn

Heath Gunn is a crime thriller author who was born in Sheffield in 1971 and grew up in the nearby town of Rotherham. After leaving home at the age of eighteen, Gunn joined the Royal Navy as a Helicopter Engineer, a role he found to be both an honor and a privilege. He has since lived in Hampshire, along the South Coast, for over thirty years, drawn to the area by his love of the sea. However, in the summer of 2022, Gunn relocated to his home county of South Yorkshire.

In addition to his work as an author, Gunn is the CEO of Enham Trust, a Hampshire-based disability charity. He is also the Lead Singer of Rapid Tranq, a rock covers band that he has been a part of since 2007. Gunn has had a varied and interesting career, working in a variety of sectors and roles. This diverse mix of life experiences has given him a wealth of material to draw from when creating characters and storylines for his writing.

Gunn is the author of several crime thrillers, including "Prisoner," the first book in the DI Baxter series, which was published in December 2019. He followed this up with "Khan," his first gangland crime thriller, in 2020, and "No Remorse," the second DI Baxter novel, a year later. Gunn has been writing for years, producing stories of various lengths, poetry, and children's stories for youngsters. His writing is influenced by his life experiences, and he strives to create characters that readers will love.
