Heather Dune Macadam

Heather Dune Macadam is a bestselling author, known for her works in memoir, nonfiction, and literary fiction. She is most recognized for her 2020 published work, "999: The Extraordinary Young Women of the First Official Jewish Transport to Auschwitz." Macadam's writing focuses on the stories of lost girls of the Holocaust, and she has received international acclaim for her efforts.

Macadam's journey of writing about the lost girls of the Holocaust began with her first book, "Rena's Promise: A Story of Sisters in Auschwitz." This memoir, co-authored with Rena Kornreich Gelissen, marked the start of Macadam's work with young women who had been on the first transport.
