Heather Holleman

Heather Holleman, PhD, is an associate teaching professor at Penn State University, where she designs advanced writing curriculum for the English department and teaches courses in rhetoric, composition, and humanities writing. A prolific author and speaker, she has written eight books, including the bestselling "Seated With Christ: Living Freely in a Culture of Comparison," which explores biblical truths about identity and belonging. Her works often center on themes of spiritual growth, connection, and purposeful living, blending theological insight with practical application.

Holleman's writing spans multiple genres, from devotional literature to evangelism and relational guidance. She coauthored the award-winning "Sent: Living a Life That Invites Others to Jesus" with her husband, Ashley Holleman, and later addressed modern isolation in "The Six Conversations: Pathways to Connecting in an Age of Isolation and Incivility." Beyond her books, she hosts the podcast "The Verb with Heather Holleman" and serves with Faculty Commons, supporting graduate student ministry. Residing in Pennsylvania with her family, she balances teaching, writing, and outdoor pursuits, including tending a plum orchard and exploring nature.
