Heather Radke

Heather Radke is a writer, editor, and educator known for her contributions to literary nonfiction and radio journalism. As a contributing editor and reporter at Radiolab, the Peabody Award-winning podcast from WNYC, she combines rigorous research with compelling storytelling. Her essays, criticism, and reported pieces have appeared in prestigious publications such as The Paris Review Daily, The Believer, Guernica, Topic, Longreads, and The White Review.

Radke holds an MFA in nonfiction from Columbia University, where she teaches creative writing and founded the Incarcerated Writer’s Initiative. Before moving to New York, she spent nearly a decade in Chicago, working at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum and lecturing on topics ranging from social practice art to innovative curatorial approaches at historic sites. Her writing often explores intersections of history, culture, and personal narrative, reflecting her academic and professional background in public history and the arts.
