Heidi Rice

Heidi Rice is a bestselling romance fiction author, originally from London, England. She is married and has two children, which she jokes gives her insight into the male psyche. Rice loves her job because it allows her to escape into a world of high emotions, sensual excitement, funny and feisty women, sexy and tortured men, and glamorous locations. However, she is also grounded in reality and spends her time outside of writing doing chores and taking care of her family.

Rice's first love was watching movies, which led to her first job as a film journalist. After spending years sneaking off to read romance novels while she was supposed to be watching movies, she decided to try writing a novel of her own. Her first book, Bedded by a Bad Boy, was published by Harlequin Mills & Boon in 2007. Since then, she has written and published forty-something novels, novellas, and short stories. She has been a finalist for the RITA award three times, had her work translated into over twenty languages, become a USA Today bestseller, and sold over three million copies of her books worldwide.

Rice is known for her love of the romance genre and her belief in providing honest and open reviews. However, she prefers not to publicly review books she didn't enjoy, instead choosing to "spread the love among other authors." In 2022, she is particularly excited about the four Harlequin Presents/Mills & Boon Modern novels she has coming out, as well as the rerelease of her first full-length women's fiction novel, So Now You're Back, and One Summer in Notting Hill, another full-length novel with One More Chapter. Despite her busy writing schedule, she continues to live in London with her husband and two sons, and remains grateful for the opportunity to live in a world of high emotions, sensual excitement, and glamorous locations, even if only in her imagination.
