Heidi Ruby Miller

Heidi Ruby Miller is an accomplished author known for her fast-paced, exotic adventures spanning science fiction and thriller genres. Her far-future "AMBASADORA" series, originally her thesis novel at Seton Hill University's Writing Popular Fiction Graduate Program, showcases her talent for blending research with imaginative storytelling. She also penned "MAN OF WAR," a sequel to Philip José Farmer's "TWO HAWKS FROM EARTH," further establishing her credentials in speculative fiction. Miller co-edited the award-winning writing guide "MANY GENRES, ONE CRAFT," which earned recognition as one of The Writer magazine's Ten Most Terrific Writing Books of 2011 and won Best Non-Fiction at the London Book Fair.

With a diverse academic background in anthropology, geography, foreign languages, and writing, Miller draws from her global travels and professional experiences to enrich her narratives. Her career began with travel writing, including co-authoring "MOON PENNSYLVANIA CAMPING" with her husband, Jason Jack Miller. Beyond writing, she has held roles as a contract archaeologist, foreign language teacher, and educational marketing director. Miller's editorial contributions include founding the Dog Star Books science fiction imprint and editing the charity anthology "LIKE SUNSHINE AFTER RAIN," which raised funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

A dedicated advocate for literary communities, Miller co-founded the Pennsylvania Literary Festival and the UPL Writers Workshop. She continues to teach creative writing at Seton Hill University while maintaining active memberships in organizations such as The Authors Guild and International Thriller Writers. Her work reflects a lifelong passion for adventure, education, and storytelling.
