Hergé, born Georges Prosper Remi, was a Belgian comics writer and artist best known for creating "The Adventures of Tintin," a seminal comic book series he wrote and illustrated from 1929 until his death in 1983. His work on the twenty-four Tintin adventures, including classics like "The Blue Lotus," established him as a pioneering figure in the comics medium. The series gained international acclaim, translated into 38 languages, and influenced prominent artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Hergé's final unfinished work, "Tintin and Alph-Art," marked the end of his prolific career.
