Howard Andrew Jones

Howard Andrew Jones is an American speculative fiction and fantasy author best known for his historical fantasy novels and series, including "The Chronicles of Hanuvar," "The Chronicles of Sword and Sand," and "The Ring-Sworn Trilogy." His debut novel, "The Desert of Souls," earned widespread acclaim, appearing on Kirkus' New and Notable list, Locus' Recommended Reading List, and Barnes & Noble's Best Fantasy Releases of 2011. The novel was also a finalist for the Compton Crook Award and a featured selection of The Science Fiction Book Club. Its sequel, "The Bones of the Old Ones," further cemented his reputation in the genre.

Beyond his original works, Jones has contributed tie-in fiction to the "Pathfinder Tales" series, including "Plague of Shadows." He is also a respected editor, having revitalized interest in Harold Lamb's historical fiction by compiling and editing eight volumes of Lamb's short stories for Bison Books.
