Howie Carr

Howie Carr is a well-known American author and journalist, who has gained a reputation for his conservative views expressed on his radio talk show. He is currently a columnist for the Boston Herald and also hosts a radio talk show that is syndicated throughout New England. Carr's radio show is popular and can be heard on more than 20 stations across the region.\n \n Carr is a New York Times bestselling author, having written several true crime biographies, including "The Brothers Bulger" and "Hitman." He has also written a crime novel titled "Hard Knocks." In 1985, Carr won a National Magazine Award, and in 2008, he was elected to the National Radio Hall of Fame, a testament to his influence and popularity in the industry.

In addition to his work in journalism and literature, Carr has also contributed to Breitbart.com. He has had a tumultuous relationship with infamous Boston organized-crime boss, Whitey Bulger, who was so angered by Carr's reporting that he put out a murder contract on him.
