Ian Tregillis

Ian Tregillis is a highly regarded American author, well-known for his science fiction and alternate history novels. One of his most popular series is the Milkweed Triptych, which showcases his unique storytelling abilities and richly detailed worlds. Born on June 22, 1973, in McCloud County, Minnesota, Tregillis pursued his higher education at the University of Minnesota, where he eventually earned a doctorate in physics in 2002.

After completing his doctorate, Tregillis decided to expand his horizons and attend the Clarion Writers' Workshop in 2005. This experience proved invaluable in honing his writing skills and introducing him to a community of fellow authors. Although he had initially struggled to find his place in the world of gainful employment, his unique background in physics would eventually become an asset in his writing career.

Originally from Minnesota, Tregillis now resides in northern New Mexico, where he continues to craft captivating stories and develop intricate, immersive universes for his readers.
