Inger Frimansson

Inger Frimansson is a highly regarded Swedish author, best known for her psychological crime thriller novels. Born on November 14, 1944, in Stockholm, Sweden, Frimansson spent her childhood in various parts of central Sweden. She now resides in Södertälje with her husband, Jan, a town located near Stockholm.

Before finding success as a novelist, Frimansson worked for three decades as a journalist. Her writing career began much earlier, however, as she won numerous literary competitions in her youth, including the prestigious "Little Nobel Prize" in 1963. In addition to her journalistic and crime writing careers, Frimansson has also written poetry, short stories, and children's books.

Frimansson's debut novel, "The Double Bed" (Dubbelsängen), was published in 1984. Over the subsequent years, she has written around twenty-five books. Her breakthrough as a crime writer came with the publication of "Goodnight, My Love" (Godnatt, min älskade) in 1998. Her crime novels are characterized by their psychological depth and thrilling plots, making her a popular and critically acclaimed author in Sweden and beyond.
