Isabel Yap

Isabel Yap is a Filipino-American author known for her speculative fiction and poetry. Her work has appeared in prominent publications such as Tor.com, "Uncanny Magazine", and "Strange Horizons", as well as anthologies like "Year's Best Weird Fiction" and "The Best of Philippine Speculative Fiction". A graduate of the Clarion Writers Workshop, she blends elements of horror, fantasy, and folklore into her narratives.

Born in Manila and raised in Quezon City, Yap holds a degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Her diverse background informs her writing, which often explores themes of identity, displacement, and cultural heritage. Beyond writing, she works in the tech industry and enjoys manga, video games, and photography. She currently resides in California's Bay Area.
