Ivar Leon Menger

Ivar Leon Menger is a German writer and director known for his work in film and audio dramas. Born in Darmstadt in 1973, he studied graphic design before transitioning to filmmaking, earning acclaim for his short thriller "Geteiltes Leid," which won "Best Short Film in Germany" at the 2002 Berlinale. His follow-up film, "Tramper," secured the ProSieben Newcomer Director Award in 2004. Menger later shifted his focus to audio storytelling, becoming a prolific writer and director for the iconic German radio play series "Die drei ???" and crafting original productions for Audible.

Menger's audio dramas, including the hit series "Monster 1983" and "Ghostbox," have garnered widespread recognition. "Monster 1983" achieved gold record status, while "Ghostbox" won the 2019 Audience Award for Best Radio Play. With over 85 audio productions to his name, Menger has established himself as a leading voice in the genre, blending suspenseful storytelling with immersive sound design.
