J.A. Huss is a bestselling American author, known for her diverse range of romance and science-fiction novels. Born in rural Central Colorado, Huss never intended to become a writer, instead pursuing careers as an equine veterinarian and a forensic toxicologist before turning to fiction in 2012.
Huss's writing career took off quickly, with her first three books released that same year. She has since become a New York Times and USA Today bestseller, with millions of copies of her books sold worldwide. Her work has been recognized with numerous nominations for awards such as the Voice Arts Award, the Audie Award, and the RITA Award. In addition to her successful solo career, Huss also writes novels and teleplays in collaboration with actor and screenwriter Johnathan McClain under the pen name KC Cross.
Despite her success, Huss remains grounded in her roots, living on a ranch in Central Colorado with her family. She is known for her strong, confident voice and her ability to write complex, engaging characters and plots. Her writing is characterized by its intelligence, clarity, and strong branding, all of which have contributed to her widespread popularity among readers.
