Dr. J.D. Remy is a practicing emergency physician with a career spanning nearly three decades. Since 1995, he has worked in emergency departments across the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, holding leadership roles such as medical director for local EMS agencies and president of his hospital’s medical staff. His dedication extends beyond clinical practice, having led five medical missions to Haiti between 2010 and 2015.
Born in New York City and raised in New Jersey, Remy graduated from medical school in Washington, D.C., before completing his emergency medicine residency in Baltimore. Outside of medicine, he enjoys running and playing acoustic guitar. A devoted father, he balances his professional commitments with raising his daughter and two sons. His personal journey includes ongoing recovery from alcoholism, reflecting his resilience both in and out of the medical field.
