J.F. Freedman is an accomplished author of mystery fiction, best known for his New York Timesbestselling novels Against the Wind, The Disappearance, House of Smoke, and In My Dark Dreams. His work has been published in more than twenty countries and has earned him praise from prestigious publications such as Library Journal, The New York Times Book Review, Booklist, Publishers Weekly, and Kirkus Reviews.
Beyond his work as an author, Freedman is also an award-winning film and television director, writer, and producer. He grew up in Maryland outside Washington, D.C., and attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned both BA and MA degrees.
