J.F. Holmes

J.F. Holmes is an American author who has made a name for himself in the genre of military science fiction. Before becoming an author, Holmes served in the Army for 22 years, both in the Regular Army and Army National Guard. His military experience was diverse, with roles ranging from an artillery section leader to a member of a Division level planning staff. He also served in various locations, including Cuba, Iraq, and New York City in response to the 9-11 terror attacks.

From 2010 to 2014, Holmes wrote the popular military cartoon strip "Power Point Ranger," which poked fun at military life in the tradition of Beetle Bailey and Willy & Joe. His books cover a wide range of genres, including Military Sci-Fi, Space Opera, Detective, and Fantasy. In 2017, two of his books were finalists for the prestigious Dragon Awards.

In 2018, Holmes launched Cannon Publishing, a publishing company specializing in military science fiction, fantasy, and thrillers, with a focus on up-and-coming authors.
