Born as Jo-Anne McLean, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. Before becoming a full-time writer, McLean had a successful career in Human Resources. She has lived in various parts of North America, including Mexico, Arizona, Alberta, and Ontario. McLean is a certified scuba diver, an avid gardener, and a passionate reader. She shares her life with her husband on Denman Island, located between the coast of British Columbia and Vancouver Island. In her spare time, she can be found preparing dishes that rarely resemble the recipe photos or disputing with weeds in the garden.
