J. Todd Scott

J. Todd Scott is an accomplished American author, best known for his gripping crime novels. Born and raised in rural Kentucky, Scott attended college and law school in Virginia. However, his early ambition to write had to be put on hold as he pursued a career as a federal agent. Despite the demands of his job, which took him to various parts of the U.S. and the world, Scott never lost his passion for storytelling.

Scott made his literary debut in 2016 with 'The Far Empty', a novel that introduced readers to Chris Cherry, a central character in what would become the Texas/Big Bend trilogy. The series continued with 'High White Sun' and 'This Side of Night', offering a compelling blend of mystery, action, and character development. In addition to this series, Scott has also ventured into standalone novels, with 'Lost River' being his latest Appalachian crime novel. His books are published by Penguin Random House under G.P. Putnam's Sons imprint.

Scott's writing is informed by his rich professional background and personal experiences. As a federal agent, he has encountered a wide range of characters and situations, many of which have found their way into his stories. His ability to create vivid, believable characters and weave intricate plots has earned him a loyal readership. When he's not writing or working, Scott enjoys spending time on his website, connecting with readers and sharing updates about his work. He is represented by CK Webber of the Fuse Literary Agency.
