Jacci is an accomplished author with a diverse literary portfolio spanning middle grade, young adult, and adult fiction, as well as nonfiction. She has written twelve books, including the young adult fantasy "Tree Singer," which was a finalist in three Wishing Shelf Book Contest categories, and the Amazon best-selling novel "The Cage," the first installment in The Birthright series. Her nonfiction work, "Tumbled People: Deconstructing and Reconstructing Your Faith," offers solace to those navigating faith deconstruction, while her adult fiction title, "The Retreat: A Tale of Spiritual Awakening," explores spiritual themes. Jacci's middle grade novel "Bending Willow," part of The Finding Home Series, represented Nevada at the National Book Festival and earned a Wishing Shelf finalist distinction.
Her writing often tackles complex themes, from identity and belonging to social justice and personal growth. In "Snapped," she addresses cyberbullying through a compelling young adult narrative, while "Cracker" provides an alternative history perspective on marginalization, complete with discussion guides for classroom use. Jacci's collaborative middle grade fantasy "Shipwrecked," created alongside fourth-grade students, reflects her commitment to engaging young readers. A former therapist, school counselor, and campus minister, she brings depth and empathy to her storytelling.
Jacci resides in Nevada's high desert with her husband and their dog, Rosie. When not writing, she enjoys hiking, chocolate, and coffee with friends. Her work continues to resonate with readers, evidenced by the donation of 1,200 of her books to Washoe County School District libraries. As both a writer and grandmother, Jacci embraces creativity and connection, crafting stories that inspire and challenge audiences across generations.
