Jacie Middlemann is a prolific American author, known for her works in the fantasy and historical fiction genres. From a young age, Middlemann developed a love for reading, which eventually turned into a passion for writing. As a fourth-grader, she fell in love with books, particularly the "Nancy Drew" series, and spent her free time volunteering at the school library. This experience exposed her to a wide range of fairy tales and myths from authors such as CS Lewis and Louisa May Alcott, further fueling her interest in storytelling.
Middlemann's parents played a significant role in her writing journey. Although her mother encouraged her to try other activities, such as photography, her father was supportive of her desire to become an author. He lent her his typewriter and told her she could use it anytime he did not need it. Using this typewriter, Middlemann filled her notebooks with notes and stories, a habit that her mother encouraged by saving many of her early writings. Today, Middlemann still has most of the books she read as a fourth-grader, as well as the notebooks filled with her early stories.
Middlemann's works often feature elements of romance and mystery, touching on real-life issues that require inner strength and resilience. Her stories explore themes of new beginnings, family relationships, and the power of strong friendships. Through her writing, Middlemann offers messages of hope, forgiveness, kindness, and the promise of second chances. Her works include the Accidental Mayor series, The Andersens series, the Heart of the Canyon series, the The Hills of Burlington series, the Hidden Keys Legacy series, and the Mae's Second Chance series, among others.
